Art/Sensory Project

A couple days ago Aidan and I made these hand print turkeys. He giggles whenever I trace his hands because it tickles. :) He really liked putting the glue on all his "feathers" and helping me choose spices to put on them. He sprinkled on the spices and we let it dry. We used cinnamon, Lawry's seasoning, curry, and oregano. If you have a better stocked spice drawer than I do you could choose some better fall spices like all spice or nutmeg. He had a good time doing the art project and then guessing which spice was which - matching the smell on the feathers to the smell from the spice containers. Fun, simple, seasonal project to talk about sense of smell!
