Zoo Tots

Aidan had his second "class" at the zoo yesterday. It was titled "Ocean Day". Aidan colored a whale, read the book "Smiley Shark" (a favorite of his), had Nemo fruit snacks, made a beautiful ocean scene for art, touched a turtle, and made a bubble machine. He had a lot of fun, especially when he got to touch the turtle. It is so neat to see him be such a big boy - following other people's directions, going up to get things from the teacher by himself, being brave and touching the wiggling turtle.

It was such a beautiful day. We had a lot of fun visiting the zoo, especially since his beloved giraffes were finally out again. He also enjoyed playing on the playground and feeding the goats. After the zoo we went to have lunch with daddy at work. Aaron has a nice little pond area with walking trail at his office so we grabbed some Culver's and had a little picnic lunch.

Such a fun day. Hopefully all that outside time yesterday will tide us over the next few rainy days. :)

I love that last picture...Aidan's silhouette as he gazes at his beloved giraffes :) Maybe he will be a meticulous zookeeper...not an OCD engineer :)
