Today at our house was all about Dr. Seuss. It is his birthday today!
I got out all of the Dr. Seuss books we have and put them out for the kids. They spent a lot of time just sitting on the ground looking through them. Most of them Aidan hasn't read before so I think he liked looking at all the new and interesting creatures.
I had told Aidan we were going to make a Cat in the Hat hat so he was really excited about that. He wanted to read the book first and then we got to work making our hats. He decided he wanted to use finger paint to make the stripes. They both had a good time painting.
And then our finished product!

The hats look great! I made one with Lorna too after I saw your post on your other blog. We also made oobleck. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for the ideas.
