Updates

So it is a little gross in our house these days. Both children have runny noses, which means I am covered in boogers all the time - nasty!!! And then there is Ella's face when she feeds herself - which she is such an awesome eater. Nothing like her brother. She will eat anything you give her. Our newest fruit is kiwi which I cut up and coat with wheat germ so it is easier for her to pick up. But then the wheat germ ends up all over her hair, face, everywhere! See exhibit A below:

And then of course there is a potty training Aidan and all that comes with wearing big boy underwear all the time now. Thank goodness for plastic training pants! Great news in the Potty Training Chronicles though! Today he was successful 4 TIMES!!!! I am so proud of him. He finally figured out how to make the pee come out when he wants it too if he is sitting on the toilet. He still had 2 accidents today and went in his pull-up when we were at the park and at softball. But I am ecstatic that he is figuring out how to pee when on the toilet. So hopefully no more hour and a half toilet sitting sessions. He even earned his last couple stickers today to fill up his first potty chart so he got to go to Wal-Mart tonight and pick out a new match box car. So excited for him! (Thanks to everyone for their enthusiasm when he tells you about his potty training accomplishments. He just gets the biggest grin on his face and really feels proud!)

Aren't they just the cutest!!!

Walking in Daddy's shoes

Ella is truly a little monkey. She is a climber. She climbs on the step stool in the kitchen that Aidan uses to wash his hands. She climbs on the couch, Aidan's bed, and now, the toilet! Such a monkey!!!! She has really been practicing standing on her own the last couple days and can do it for at least 30 seconds at a time now. And tonight at softball she took 2 steps towards me! Only a matter of time... Oh, and both of her top teeth are coming in. What a big girl - I can't believe she is 9 months old tomorrow!

Ella is terrific at going up, but has she figured out how to come down by herself? Anxious to see the new skills in person. Grandma V
