Well, moving day has come and gone. What a couple of days it has been! We are slowly getting everything unpacked in the new place. We got all the furniture moved over on Friday and a lot of boxes and totes. But I think while we were away from the Ankeny house the boxes and totes reproduced and multiplied. It took four trips with the Penske truck along with several van and car loads full. But we made it. All was done in Ankeny by 4:30 - that is an hour and a half to spare! Nothing like cutting it close when we needed to be out by 6:00 p.m.!
Olivia is checking out Aidan's balloon and car while Papa Van reattaches the legs to the couch. Can you believe that balloon has been alive since St. Patrick's Day?!
Olivia and Ella playing with the boxes.
Yes, this is a photo of our THREE car garage, completely filled with all of our junk to sort through.
Better get back to it!
Thank you to all of our family who helped us move to our new home. We are loving it already. We have only been here 2 days and it already feels like home.
We have met three neighbors already, and there are tons of kids in the neighborhood. Saw Aaron's co-worker that also lives on the street behind us and he told us about the bike trail and the park nearby (Aidan was very excited to hear about the park!). And then one of the neighbors I had met came over after dinner with a vase of pretty pink daisies and a note card with all of her contact info and names of her family - including their dogs! I now know more people in this neighborhood then I did in 6 years in our old neighborhood.
