The Dollhouse

Our little wooden family finally has a home! I finally finished the dollhouse for Ella. I think it turned out pretty cute.

You can click on the picture below to enlarge it and see the details better.

I made little picture frames for the living room wall using tiny popsicle sticks. I made them so I could slip in a new picture at the kids get older. I had a brainstorm yesterday and wanted to put magnetic primer on the back wall of the tiny living room so we could decorate the walls with different magnets. But the cheapest one I could find was $13 and I obviously needed just a tiny bit, and am too cheap to splurge like that. At least until I think of another project I could use the primer for (or I raid my crafty friend Nan's stash - surely she has some somewhere!)

Aidan was looking at the dollhouse this afternoon and saw the pictures in the dollhouse and looked at the same pictures on our living room wall and tried to arrange the furniture to match our living room. So cute!

She was loving it this afternoon and evening. Which of course makes me super happy. She likes to pass out the adorable little wooden people to their corresponding actual person. :)

I call this project a success! What do you think?
